CAE FREE 2013
Welcome to Theriault, we are a small family ran little goat herd located in
South East Idaho.
Our goal here is to maintain top quality lines, fill a milk pail with comfort and ease, and most importantly share happy, healthy and correct nigerians with folks who have the same values as we do. We run a CAE/Johnes clean herd and test yearly, as well as run a tight herd maintenance program. We also participate in Linear Appraisal.

How we got our start
My husband and I (more my husband then I) raise top of the line registered Murray Grey cattle. I love helping pair breedings and enjoy putting in my 2 cents... The husband has a different opinion, considering he is very detail oriented and a little possessive over his cows. He finally decide that it was time for me to have my own hobby, something I could put my heart and soul into and leave his lil cows alone... So years ago I set out on a search for my "me" thing. I got a few corgis with the intent to show, but was quickly to intimidated and decided I needed to change paths. But where to??
Every year when we show our cattle, there are these lil' goats in the barn next to us. I have always been drawn to them, and would spend lots of time wandering over to their little oasis to play. EVERY year I ask the hubby if I could have just one, and every year he tells me no. Until fall of 2011. . .
As a sneak attempt to surprise me, he contacted Sage Acres and made arrangements to buy TaLuLa (Sage Acres Party Girl). Every goat owner knows, one goat is not a happy goat, and TaLuLa was very vocal and quickly reminded him of that. SO I talked him into goat number 2... As you can see by looking at my website, I haven't stopped there.
We have diligently brought in genetics that I feel compliment my over all goal. But I can't say I have done it alone. I often turn to the most amazing mentor for her advise and opinions, and with her help I feel my herd is off to a great start. (Thank you Lauri for always being there)
Please enjoy my website, and feel free to contact me, we always have something available.
